The Dead Report Minute: CineMacabre

In this Dead Report Minute: Newsflash! The Hollywood reporter releases details on Diary of the Dead's theatrical release. ALSO! Rue Morgue Magazine will present in their CineMacabre Movie Nights series the 1986 classic "Night of the Creeps". An excellent piece of Z cinema. It's got characters named after George Romero, Tobe Hooper, Sam Raimi, John Carpenter... It's filled with rad zombies and great cheap gags. If you can't make it to the movie- you should really netflix it. It's awesome. Did I mention the director Fred Dekker (RoboCop 3, Monster Squad) will be there!?! Go to http://rue-morgue.com for more info on the event.

In the meantime, here's...

The Dead Report Minute: CineMacabre

Oh hey-
I got a few letters and postcards asking why when you click the link to watch the show, it shows up so big in IE or Firefox that it fills the entire screen. It's because The Dead Report is presented in High Definition, much larger that some computer screens. But, if you instead right click (or control click for those Mac folks without two button mice) on the link you can choose to download the file- or 'save as...' Once saved, this file can be watched in most any media player. We like Quicktime or VLC.

Alternatively, we've got a few folks who aren't so ga-ga for the HD. And that's cool, that's cool. I'm gonna integrate the YouTube player in closer with the blog later this week. This'll allow you to watch all the TDR video's we've posted right here all in one spot. Blogger's 'videobar' is just a wee bit too random for my liking...

Another reason that subscribing is rad- besides the awesome fact that iTunes will auto download the show for you, subscribing lets me know that someone is watching. It's kinda like ratings for a TV show. It helps to know what size of audience we have out there in internetland...
